theCupcakediary, myself and April have just recently packed up everything and moved to Hollywood, CA - where sweet cupcake dreams come true!
My goals in this cupcake land of plenty are; to continue baking new delicious recipes, taste all of the amazing cupcakeries and gourmet cupcakes in the tmz, and to meet cupcake enthusiasts and passionate blogging buddies - all while photographing my adventures and updating my blog with love.

I cannot remember a birthday party or celebration in my past where cupcakes were absent. The presence of cupcakes alone lit up any occasion into a special memory that I could keep forever.
I had Rainbow Bright cupcakes, Barbie cupcakes, and as I matured more gourmet cupcakes became appealing to share with my family and friends.
Now I am on a mission to create my own special cupcakes to share with the people I love and the new people I meet every day.
Simply by sharing a cupcake, I have seen people's day change from good to great. Imagine yourself on an average day and suddenly, for no special reason, an old friend or new acquaintance presents you with a cupcake.
Could you hold in a smile?
Some people find their passion in fashion, cooking and entertaining! These people have used their special talents to contribute to the pleasures in life we can all enjoy. Cupcakes are my passion and my purpose to is enlighten the world through these special little treats.
I know that cupcakes alone cannot cure cancer or end war, but I have seen that baking cupcakes for causes can raise awareness, funding, and the spirits of anyone a part of a movement with a purpose.

Baking has been an enjoyable hobby throughout my childhood and adult life. As a kid, any special occasion meant baking!
My mother's Italian easter egg bread, Valentine's Day heart shaped cookies with sprinkles and candies galore! Pumpkin pies, banana bread, birthday cakes and cupcakes!
I cannot ignore a feeling of inspiration that brings me into the kitchen to start baking. Whether it be for a friend's birthday, graduation, engagement or simply a new recipe idea that pops into my head, I find my creative outlet through cupcake baking.
Writing has also been a passion of mine since I was a kid. I am sure you can all dig up the story books you used to write, illustrate and bind yourself. I have boxes.
I developed my writing throughout high school and into college where I thought journalism would be my passion. After a few journalism classes, I reconsidered. Perhaps I just liked to write about the things that I wanted to write about, but becoming a novelist seemed too introverted for my taste.
With the rapid development of technology, the internet and popularity of blogging, I found this would be the perfect outlet for my writing.
I view blogging as writing on the internet. And through blogging I am able to share my cupcake baking ventures day by day. When I find a blog I enjoy reading, I bookmark it and check back every so often. It's like reading a live book and I don't have to pay a subscription fee! So please, bookmark me, share with me, i'm submerging myself into the blogosphere and there's no looking back.
My goal for this blog is to provide vivid imagery, helpful and useful information, all infused with the pleasure and enjoyment of cupcakes! I hope that you enjoy this blog and will share it with your family and friends.
Photography is truly a skill and art. I have only recently begun to develop my skills in photography. With the help of my brother-in-law Mike Burley, who is a professional photographer, I have been able to get up and run with it.
First you have to have an eye for creating beautiful images. I used to think it was all about what type of camera you have. While the quality of your camera is a huge factor, your eye is the determining factor of your success in photography.
Second, you need a subject that you are passionate about photographing. My goal with cupcake photography is to create appetizing, mouthwatering, beautiful images that will inspire anyone to start baking these little cakes for themselves and share with their friends.
If I can provide an image of the end result and a recipe for the means of getting there, I don't see why anyone couldn't reproduce these special treats at home.

I am not a professional baker or taster, nor do I claim to be, BUT I do know a great cupcake when I see & taste one.
