My New Year's Resolution: Eat More Cupcakes!
I was lucky enough to spend the New Year's weekend up in Santa Barbara with friends and like minded cupcake connoisseurs.
The one thing on my mind that weekend was cupcakes! I wanted to start the New Year off right by indulging in my favorite baked goody: cupcakes!
Now I know everyone's New Year's resolution is to eat healthier, work out more etc. but I can't help to stay true to my passions in cupcake tasting, baking and sharing.
The photos above are from our trip to Crushcakes, a local cupcakery whose owner competed on Cupcake Wars Season 1. Alongside the cupcakery is their Crushcafe, a cute little brunch and coffee spot. So we ordered up some cappuccinos and their featured Blueberry Cheesecake Cupcake.
In the near future I want to do a full review on this cupcakery, but for now, I can tell you that the cupcake tasted more like a blueberry muffin BUT the frosting was actually a great compliment and of course we ate it all up!
I can't wait to start baking and hopefully (fingers crossed) get a nice hand held video camera to start some CupcakeDiary webisodes.

Best hand held vid cam for bloggers of all sorts... the Sony Bloggie (hence the name). Even comes in a pink Bloggie! I want one!
