Wordless Wednesday:

Or just a few:

Here's April on her last birthday holding cupcakes I made for her special day. We celebrated at the Boathouse in Santa Barbara.

This is our history as friends sharing cupcakes. <3

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!

April and I spent Saturday prepping and baking these pretty pink & lavender cupcakes for our very special friend and birthday girl.

We used my signature Pink Piper Champagne Cupcake recipe and dyed the frosting lavender for a birthday version.

Elizabeth celebrated her birthday at Le Trousdale in West Hollywood where another special birthday was already taking place; Chris Kattan's 40th. I even offered to share a cupcake for the occasion.

Overall, the cupcakes were a hit. Everyone who saw them asked who they were for and if they could have one.

Elizabeth and the girls were very territorial of them, but did end up sharing a few. It was a very Happy Birthday!

Cupcakes and Coffee, brilliant right?

Whenever I visit a cupcakery, I think "this would be great with a hot cup of coffee, or latte, or hot chocolate!" The only liquid supplement offered are typically milk and water.

I have to give it to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for taking the opportunity to offer cupcakes as a sweet treat alongside a hot cup of coffee.

Coffee Bean already carries a Red Velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting, absolutey delectible. Above is their new Harvest Pumpkin Cupcake which truely encapsulates all the flavors of fall into a tasty little treat.

I know as an inside source, these cupcakes fly out of the bakery case, so get to Coffee Bean for an early morning or afternoon treat. You will not disagree, they are amazing!
