Pink Piper Champagne Cupcakes

I have had an overwhelming response to my champagne cupcakes!

 

Along this cupcake journey, I have learned a lot about the anatomy of a great tasting cupcake and my new mission has been to create my own signature recipes.

 

The Pink Piper Champagne Cupcake will be the first of my signature cupcake collection. As soon as I perfect the recipe for the cupcake, and decide on the most fabulous frosting to pair it with, I will start sharing my recipes and you can be the judge.

 

I want all of you at home bakers to be able to create something special. So I will be baking away and perfecting my cupcakes for you!

 

The cupcakes above are my creations for Cupcake Camp Santa Barbara. I tweaked the recipe from below and incorporated a special champagne: Piper Sonoma Brut.

 

Although this is a more expensive champagne to cook with, the flavor and taste of the end result make it worth the cost. Plus, you can always pour a glass for yourself and have a rewarding sweet treat at the end of the day.

 

The Frosting:

The frosting I used for these cupcakes is a Strawberry Meringue Buttercream with Piper Champagne. It was light and sweet and a great pairing to this dense pink cupcake and of course, topped with POP rock garnish.

 

I like it better then the first buttercream frosting I made, but I am still working on the BEST pair for this special recipe. More updates to come!
